Ticket Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing our event and purchasing your ticket. Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they set out the terms of your ticket purchase and attendance at the event.

a. In these Ticket Terms and Conditions, the terms "We," "Our," "Ours," "Organiser," and "organiser" refer to Dear Black Women and Girls CIC.

b. The terms "You" and "Yours" refer to you or anyone who, in our reasonable opinion, is acting with your authority or permission.

c. The terms "The Event" or "event" refer to the relevant event you are purchasing the ticket for.

d. The term "Venue" refers to any facility or location where the event is being held.

e. The term "Ticket" refers to the electronic evidence of the right to attend the event.

f. The term "Visitors," "Attendees," and "Festival-goers" applies to ticket holders who attend the event.

a. By ordering your ticket to the event, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Ticket Terms and Conditions in their entirety. b. To register a ticket to attend the event, you must be over 16 years old. c. Your possession of a ticket constitutes that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the following: i. Ticket Terms and Conditions ii. Terms of Use iii. Privacy Policy d. You also consent to receive your ticket by email and to receive regular updates about the event. e. You must not register tickets to attend the event if you do not agree or comply with any of these conditions.

a. Ticket purchase is subject to availability and is non-transferable and non-refundable, except as provided in section 6 below.

b. Tickets may be purchased online via Eventbrite and must be paid for in full at the time of purchase.

c. Please ensure that you carefully review the entire ticket description details and are satisfied with your ticket selection before completing your order. The organiser will not be able to rectify any issues arising from a mistake on your part, and it is your responsibility to check your ticket for any errors.

d. It is your responsibility to confirm whether your order is complete through your Eventbrite account. If you do not receive an order confirmation after submitting payment information, please get in touch with Eventbrite. Similarly, if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, please get in touch with Eventbrite. Only you may be aware of any problems during the purchase process.

e. Tickets will be delivered to you by email, the Eventbrite mobile app, or as agreed between us.

f. You are responsible for ensuring that you have received your tickets and for printing or downloading them to your mobile device. We will not be liable for any lost or stolen tickets.

g. To ensure that your ticket is valid for entry, we recommend that you purchase your ticket directly from Eventbrite, our Ticket Partner.

h. Attendees are responsible for ensuring that their tickets are not duplicated, copied, or transferred to unauthorised parties.

i. These terms and conditions will begin once the organiser confirms your ticket order and will end immediately after the completion of the event for which you have registered your ticket.

a. Admission to the event will only be granted on presentation of a valid ticket. Each ticket admits one person only.

b. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person or to eject any person from the event without a refund if they fail to comply with our terms and conditions or the event rules or if they are deemed a risk to others attendees.

c. The event may be filmed, recorded or photographed. By attending the event, you consent to being filmed, recorded or photographed and us using such footage or images for reporting and promotional purposes without compensation.

a. Comply with instructions from event staff, security personnel, or the venue.

b. Do not bring prohibited items such as glass, alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons to the event.

c. Behave responsibly and avoid causing harm or damage to people or property.

d. No smoking in indoor areas.

e. Use provided bins and recycling points for rubbish disposal.

f. Only guide dogs are permitted; no other animals are allowed.

g. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a registered ticket holder who is 16 or older.

h. Violation of event rules may result in removal from the event without a refund.

i. Behave responsibly and avoid any offensive actions.

j. While every attempt will be made to accommodate latecomers during a suitable break in the event sessions, admission to scheduled sessions is not always guaranteed.

k. Please comply to avoid removal from the
premises without a refund.

l. Keep personal belongings with you and do not leave anything unattended

m. If you cause damage to the venue or harm to any person at the event or venue, the organisers reserve the right to take legal action against you.

n. Report anything suspicious or out of place to a member of the event team.

a. If there are any changes to the event, the organiser will use the email address provided during ticket registration to inform attendees as soon as reasonably possible."

b. We reserve the right to make changes to the event, including changes to the schedule, experts, practitioners, venue, date or time, and we will notify ticket holders of any significant changes as soon as possible.

c. If the event is cancelled, we will refund the face value of the ticket, but we will not be liable for any other expenses or losses incurred by ticket holders.

d. If the event is postponed and rescheduled, your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled event, but we will not be liable for any other expenses or losses incurred by ticket holders.

e. However, the organiser cannot guarantee that attendees will be informed of such cancellation, postponement, rescheduling or alteration before the event date.

a. Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation, as provided in section 6c above.

b. If you cannot attend the event, you may transfer your ticket to another person, provided that you notify us in advance and provide us with the new ticket holder's details.

c. We may be able to exchange your ticket for another event, subject to availability and any price difference. Please get in touch with us for further details.

a. The event organiser has no control over the food products distributed at the event.

b. We cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions or illnesses caused by food or drinks sampled or purchased at the event.

c. Attendees are responsible for informing themselves of all ingredients and potential allergens in the food or drinks available at the event.

d. We advise all attendees with allergies or dietary requirements to take necessary precautions and bring their food or drinks to the event.

e. By attending the event, you accept that you consume food or drinks at your own risk and that the organiser shall not be held responsible for any related issues or consequences.

a. Official event photographers and videographers will take photographs and record and stream videos at the event.

b. By attending the event, you consent to be photographed or filmed without compensation and confirm that the organiser shall be entitled to use such photos and videos, which may include photographs and videos of visitors, for reporting and promotions in the future, without liability or payment.

c. Visitors to the Event are strictly prohibited from taking photographs or filming videos, or making any form of recording on any media for commercial or business purposes at the event without the prior written permission of the organiser

d. Any visitor violating this policy may be asked to leave the event, and the organiser reserves the right to take legal action against such visitors.

e. Visitors are welcome to take personal photos or videos for non-commercial use, provided they do not disrupt the event or disturb other attendees.

f. All visitors must respect other attendees' privacy and personal space and not photograph or film anyone without their express consent.

g. By attending the event, you acknowledge that the organiser and any affiliated parties may use your image, likeness or voice in any media for promotional or commercial purposes without your prior consent or compensation.

h. If you have any questions or concerns about photography or videography at the event, please contact the organiser for further information.

a. Non-exhibiting businesses attending the event are requested to refrain from soliciting for trade-in or outside the venue.

b. This is in place to ensure that all exhibitors have a fair and equal opportunity to promote their products or services to attendees.

c. Under no circumstances may non-exhibiting businesses leave their printed promotional material around the venue or event. Any such materials found will be removed and disposed of.

d. The organiser reserves the right to ask non-exhibiting businesses to leave the event if they are found to be soliciting for business.

e. This does not apply to exhibitors authorised to promote their products or services at the event.

f. The event organiser is not responsible for any transactions or interactions between exhibitors and non-exhibiting businesses outside of the event.

a. The safety and security of our Staff, exhibitors, and visitors is our priority.

b. All attendees of our events should be aware that the following security measures may be in place:

c. Customer service staff may approach you to assist you outside, at entry, or inside the event.

d. Staff are required to wear ID badges provided by the organiser.

e. Body searches may be conducted to ensure the safety of everyone attending the event.

f. Bag checks may also be conducted at the entrance to the event.

g. Walkthrough or handheld scanners may be used as security measures.

h. CCTV cameras are in operation at our events and are monitored and recorded.

i. Uniformed and covert security guards may be present at the event.

j. Uniformed and undercover police officers may also be present to ensure the safety of all attendees.

k. Canine security and detection teams may be used as part of the security measures.

a. The views and opinions expressed by any talent, participant, speaker, exhibitor, partner, sponsor or attendee at the event are their own. They do not necessarily reflect the views of the organiser.

b. Attendees are advised that the organiser does not endorse or accept responsibility for any advice or views expressed at the event or in any material provided.

c. The organiser does not accept responsibility for any losses or damages that may result from actions taken or decisions made based on advice or views expressed at the event.

d. The organiser does not endorse any products or services promoted or displayed by exhibitors or sponsors at the event.

e. Attendees should exercise their judgement and discretion when making decisions based on information obtained at the event.

f. If you have any questions or concerns regarding views and opinions expressed at the event, please get in touch with the organiser for further information.

a. The organiser will use the contact details provided during ticket registration to contact attendees if necessary. The ticket holder is responsible for informing the organiser of any changes to their contact details.

b. Email is the preferred method of communication, and attendees should ensure that they have provided a valid email address. Attendees should check their junk and spam folders in case the organiser's emails are marked as such.

c. If an attendee has any queries or complaints regarding their ticket purchase, they can contact the organiser at [email protected], quoting their order reference number.

d. The organiser will acknowledge the query or complaint as soon as possible, ten business days after receipt.

e. In a dispute, the organiser will attempt to consult or negotiate in good faith to reach a fair and equitable settlement satisfactory to all parties involved, including the attendee, the organiser, and any relevant event partner. Some complaints may take up to 28 days to resolve.

f. Nothing in these Ticket Terms and Conditions affects or restricts the statutory rights of attendees, their right to make a complaint to Trading Standards or another appropriate regulatory authority, or their right to pursue court proceedings or other forms of dispute resolution.

a. Prior written consent is required to use the event's intellectual property, including still photos, moving images, videos, or sound recordings.

b. Violation of this may result in violation of the event's right.

a. The organiser is not responsible for any damage or losses to you or your belongings unless the organiser caused it.

b. However, if you harm someone or damage anything at the event or venue, the organiser might take legal action against you.

a. The organiser shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of their obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside of their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God (other than those arising directly or indirectly from volcanic ash), strikes, lockouts, health and safety issues, accidents, war, fire, breakdown of plant or machinery. 

b. In such circumstances, the organiser shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of obligations.

c. The organiser will make reasonable efforts to minimise any disruption caused by events or circumstances outside of their control but shall not be liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience suffered by attendees due to such events or circumstances.

a. If the organiser delays or fails to enforce these Ticket Terms and Conditions, they still have their right to do so.

b. The organiser may assign rights and obligations under these Ticket Terms and Conditions, provided that it does not adversely affect the rights of attendees.

c. If any provision of these Ticket Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a court in any applicable jurisdiction, it will not affect or impair the legality, validity, or enforceability of any other provision of these Ticket Terms and Conditions.

d. In the event that a provision of these Ticket Terms and Conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.

e. Attendees agree that the organiser may assign any of their rights and obligations under these Ticket Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

f. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the waiver, assignment and severability of these Ticket Terms and Conditions, please contact the organiser for further information.

a. The organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property or any injury or death to any person unless caused by the organiser's negligence or that of our employees.

b. Our liability to you in connection with the event and your ticket purchase shall be limited to the face value of the ticket.

a. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.

b. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
